About me

I'm a mom of 2 boys currently unemployed because of the covid-19 shut down just like some of you out there. Before the pandemic, I worked in recipe development for a gluten-free company. I've always wanted to start a food blog but didn't have the time until now (ironic, eh). My goal for this project is to recreate dishes I've eaten during happier times and share recipes, using ingredients that can be easily found or substitutable. You'll be introduced to Hmong inspired dishes and other cuisines with a twist. Before the pandemic hit us in Michigan, my husband and I were getting food deliveries at least twice a week on top of carry-outs! When I broke our stove the previous month, we resorted to frozen meals for almost 2 weeks, and I felt like crap. It took the pandemic to teach me how to get back to basics - cooking at home and appreciating the little things. Welcome, and feel free to drop me a note! We'll get through this together! One last thing, I'd love to check out what you're making at home, so feel free to tag your photos using #Apantryliving, and I'll share it on my new Instagram page. See you around!
