Air Fried Pickles

Somewhere in the back of your refrigerator, there’s a jar of pickles that needs to move out so you can create more room for fresh ingredient stockpile! (btw, today the nation has been advised to stay away from grocery stores and pharmacies if possible). Who would buy Chipotle flavored Agave pickles? LOL. I did and I remember why. I was developing a Thai-inspired Bloody Mary drink for work and I thought why not try it to cut down on the recipe. Anyway, I’ve ordered fried pickles as an appetizer at sports bars for my family and we all loved it. So before you throw out that pickle jar, give this recipe a try using your air fryer!

Ingredients:

Jar of sliced pickles
2 cups Panko Crumbs
1/2 cup Flour
2 eggs beaten
1/2 tsp Garlic powder
salt and pepper for tasting
Cooking spray

Ranch dressing (optional)

Steps:

1) Dry pickles on a paper towels for a few minutes until liquid is absorbed.

2) Gather ingredients and you’ll need 3 bowls. In one bowl, combine flour and salt. In another bowl, whisk eggs and garlic powder. Fill the third bowl with panko.

3) Dip pickles in flour mixture to cover both sides. Next, dip in egg mixture, then in crumb mixture. Continue for the rest of pickles. Lay coated pickles in the air fryer basket tray and spray cooking oil on top. Cook for 10 minutes, then flip the other side of pickles and spray oil. Cook for another 8 minutes. Serve with your choice of dips. Enjoy!
